The Simple Version
Some links on this blog make me money if you click them and buy something. You pay the same price either way — the commission comes from the company, not from you. This is how I keep the lights on while I travel and write.
How It Actually Works
When I recommend a hotel, travel insurance, a camera, or a tour company and include a link, it might be an affiliate link. That means if you click it and buy something, I get a small percentage of the sale. You don't pay extra for using my link. The price is identical whether you click mine or search for it yourself.
My Word On This
I only recommend things I actually believe in or have used myself. If a product is bad, I say it's bad — and I don't link to it or recommend it. Money doesn't change my opinions. If something doesn't work, you'll hear about it.
The Legal Side (FTC Stuff)
The FTC requires that I tell you about affiliate links. So: this blog might earn commission through affiliate programs. It happens all over this site — any link could potentially be an affiliate link. I usually note it in the post if the link is one.

This list changes as the blog grows, but I might have affiliate relationships with: Amazon, Booking.com, Hotels.com, GetYourGuide, travel insurance companies, and other travel-related services.
